Mila Yochum

Vice President of Operations

Mila has over 20 years of operational experience in leadership roles within national non-profit organizations in southwestern Pennsylvania, Washington D.C and national organizations. Most recently, Mila held the post of Chief of Staff at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, PA. While at the Museum, Mila was responsible for leading organizational initiatives, strategic planning, policy decisions, and developed critical operational standards and administrative processes to enable the team to effectively fulfill its commitments to the community. Additionally, as a key liaison, Mila served as the connection to Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh central functions including finance, human resources, general counsel, facilities planning & operations, IT, development, and visitor services to advance strategic priorities and ensure business results are delivered.

Prior to her role at the Museum, Mila was the Executive Director of the Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes within the Executive Office of the Mayor in Washington D.C. During her tenure, she distributed grants to over 110 nonprofit organization serving thousands of children and youth, oversaw the Institute for Youth Development at the University of the District of Columbia, and managed the office staff and a multi-million-dollar budget. Prior to this role, she served in leadership roles with Allegheny Partners for Out-of-School Time, Strong Women, Strong Girls, and Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council.

Mila holds a B.A. in in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management from the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time and after actively volunteering in the community, Mila can be found baking beautiful and delicious cakes, brownies, cookies and other treats, or enjoying nature on the trails or in the mountains.
