Autumn Shepherd, MSW (she/her) is the Membership & Development Specialist at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations. As part of the External Affairs team, Autumn supports membership renewals and development processes.
Previously, Autumn worked as the Development Specialist for WeStories, where she applied a community-centric fundraising lens to the strategy and processes related to sustaining the organization’s ongoing work and future growth. With five years in the sector, she has also held roles in data & research and community engagement.
Autumn holds a Master of Social Work with a focus on social impact leadership and a specialization in management from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Truman State University. She is a member of FOCUS St. Louis and the St. Louis Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and she continues to serve as a volunteer for Rung for Women, Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, and Make-A-Wish® Missouri & Kansas.
