Lissan Anfune joined the GEO team in May of 2011. As a program assistant she supports content planning and development for GEO publications and conferences.

Prior to joining GEO she worked at the National Peace Corps Association, a nonprofit focused on the larger Peace Corps community. There she worked as the Project Assistant for their online collaboration platform for rural development projects in Africa, Africa Rural Connect.

Lissan graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor of arts in international relations focusing on the thematic concentration of global conflict, cooperation and justice and also received a minor in Africa in the new world. During her junior year she studied abroad in West Africa at the University of Ghana, Legon.
